Turn messy pasted text into a clean spreadsheet

Paste messy text, pick fixes, download a clean CSV or Excel file. Runs in your browser, nothing to install.

Your text never leaves this browser. There is no server and nothing is uploaded.

Best guess: Comma. Pick one above if that's wrong.

Nothing pasted yet. Paste some rows above and the table appears here.

How it works

Paste your rows into the box, choose the delimiter and fixes, preview the table, then download it. Everything happens in your browser.

Tidyrow cleans up data pasted from anywhere - pasted lists, copied tables, email threads, downloaded statements and exported logs - and returns tidy columns you can save and open in any spreadsheet program.

The delimiter picker defaults to auto-detect and works through comma, tab, semicolon, pipe and space-separated values; if detection guesses wrong, every option stays one click away. It also splits one column of text into multiple columns, the way a classic text-to-columns feature does. Checkbox fixes cover the usual clean-ups - first row is a header, trim spaces, numbers as numbers, dates as dates, drop empty rows and remove duplicate rows - plus two dropdowns that sort by any column, ascending or descending. Dates parse in either day-first or month-first order, and every preview line shows what changed before you commit: rows, columns, counts of dropped or cast values, before you take the download.
